Geneva Lawson, age 94 years, 8 months, and 7 days, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at the Williamsburg Health and Rehabilitation Center in Williamsburg, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Landon Sexton and Bro. Steve Perry officiating.  Burial was in the Angel Cemetery.
She was born May 31, 1922 in the Hayes Creek community to Ben Cornelius and Mae (Goodin) Cornelius. Geneva was a member of the East Stearns Church of God. She found pleasure in playing the organ and harmonica. She also enjoyed adult coloring books, singing in church, sewing, and testifying to everyone she saw.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Arlis Lawson, a son, Jimmy Lawson, two daughters, Sandra Trammell and Opal Harris, her brothers Herman Cornelius, Lansford Cornelius, Hubert Cornelius and Hobert Cornelius, her sisters, Cevil Morgan, Thelma Lay, Hazel Baird, Desel Anderson, Myrtle Cornelius, Evelyn Cornelius, Opal Neal, and her grandchildren, Shawn Waters, Paul Harris, Anthony Lawson, Tina Lawson and Robin Lawson.  
Survivors include two sons, Robert and Margie Lawson of Rising Sun Indiana, Dale and Brenda Lawson of Dillsbourgh Indiana. three daughters,  Brenda Murray of Bethel Ohio, Glenda Franks of Ervin Texas, and Teresa and David West of Stearns Kentucky,  two sons-in-law, Bruce Trammell and Peter Harris, eleven grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren.
