Alan D. McAfee, 47, of 148 Lightner Road, York, died Tuesday morning at York Hospital. He was the husband of Kay L. (Rodgers) McAfee.

The service will be 10 a.m. Friday at the Baumeister, Orcutt and Small Mortuaries Inc., Roosevelt and Madison avenues, York. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.

Mr. McAfee was born in York. He was the son of the late Sarah J. (Moore) and Charles H. McAfee Sr.

He was employed at BMY Combat Systems for 28 years. He was a 1963 graduate of Spring Grove High School. He was a member of the Good Guys Rod and Custom Association, the Viking Athletic Association, the York County Volunteer Fireman's Association and the United Steel Workers of America. He was an active member of the Hanover Street Rod Association and a life member of the National Street Rod Association.

Mr. McAfee also is survived by a brother, Charles H. McAfee Jr. of York; and a niece.

Officiating at the service will be the Rev. John Lehr, a retired United Methodist pastor.
