Son of Rodney Carlos Badger and Harriet Ann Whitaker. He was the grandson of John Taylor, third president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He married Esther Moor on October 10, 1893. They lived in Salt Lake City until moving to Chicago in 1920.

Mr. Badger was treasurer of the Lanteen Medical Laboratories in Chicago at the time of his death. He was a former member of the Alta Club, Commercial Club, and Salt Lake City Chamber of Commerce. He was also the former vice president of the Utah State National Bank.

Mr. Badger died in Chicago on December 22, 1946 in Chicago, at the age of 74.
