She was born Saturday, June 21, 1941, in Oakland, MD, daughter of the late Gail Warnick and Grace (Friend) Warnick.
Evelyn worked for National Geographic as a secretary and was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband, James Powell, Crossville; daughter, Anissa Powell, Crossville; sons, Richard Powell and Steve (Lori) Powell, all of Crossville; and brother, John Warnick of Maryland. She is also survived by four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her daughter, Diana Marie Powell, and brother, Bernard Bernard.
Funeral services will be held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017, at 1 p.m. with Bro. David Mahan officiating. Interment in Green Acres Memory Gardens.
