Barbara Lee Grumbles, age 62 of West, passed away March 30, 1999 at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in West.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today (Thursday) at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Dr. Winifred Moore officiating. Graveside services will follow at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Corn Hill Cemetery near Jarrell.
Mrs. Grumbles was born on October 5, 1936 in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Leslie and Lucille Webb. She graduated from high school in Japan and also received an Associates Degree in business. She married Oran L. Grumbles on October 30, 1971 in West. She was a housewife and homemaker. Barbara was a "Kidney Transplant Patient."
She is preceded in death by a son, Richard Worsham, who died October 24, 1991.
She is survived by her husband, Oran L. Grumbles of West; four daughters, Deborah Smithson of China Spring, Jessica Hutyra of West, Charlotte Garcia of Hewitt and Jennifer Hernandez of Waco; nine grandchildren, Robert, Jason, Dustin, Emily, Michelle, Eddie, Devin, Barbara and Leslie Deann; one great-granddaughter, Kirsten; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Jessie Garcia, Shane Hernandez, Jerry Hutyra, Patrick Smithson, Jason Smithson and Eddie Bull.
Aderhold Funeral Home in West was in charge of arrangements.
