On January 6, 2017, Larry Lynn Roewert passed away at his home in Ontario, California.
Larry was born on September 9, 1940 at Neligh, Nebraska to Helen and Arnold Roewert. Larry was baptized in 1940 and confirmed on July 4, 1954 at St. Paul "Buffalo Creek" Lutheran Church, Tilden, Nebraska. Larry attended country school at District 34 through the 8th grade. Larry graduated from Tilden High School in 1958. Larry farmed with his father until moving to California in the 1960's.
Larry worked as a machinist at ITT Cannon from 1968 to 2009. His job took him to Romania; he received many awards and had been chosen the employee of the year in 1978. A funeral service will be held at Draper Mortuary, 811 N. Mountain Avenue, Ontario, California on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at 11:00 am. Following this service, Larry will be flown home to Tilden, Nebraska. A second service will be held at St. Paul "Buffalo Creek" Lutheran Church in Tilden on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 2:00 pm. Pallbearers will be Larry's nephews.
Larry is survived by 1 brother and 3 sisters, Arland & Joyce Roewert of Battle Creek, Nebraska, Arla Loy & Eldon Larson of Seabeck, Washington, Sharon Weber of South Sioux City, Nebraska, and Marla Rice of Lake Elsinore, California. Larry also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews.
