Evelyn Louise (Baines) Montooth

Evelyn Louise (Baines) Montooth, age 71, of Sweetwater, went to be with the Lord suddenly at her home on Monday, February 6, 2017. She was a member of Beulah Chapel Church of Nazarene, and a retired RN. Evelyn was the eldest of four children and a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife and daughter. She was a kind, loving soul with a warm, giving heart who always had a smile on her face. Our family is at peace knowing she is in the loving arms of Jesus Christ and with her sweet mother by her side. Preceded in death by the following family members: mother, Louise Baines; nephew, Adam Baines; and niece, Leah Baines. Survived by the following family members: father, John Baines; husband of 30 years, Garey Montooth; mother-in-law, Doris Montooth , sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Becky and Joe Hudson, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Kim and Bill McDaniels , brother and sister-in-law, Todd and Janice Baines; brother and sister-in-law, Sammy and Debbie Baines, sister and brother-in-law, Jeanne and Wayne Isbill; son and daughter-in-law, Hank and Suzette Jenkins; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Mike Thompson; grandchildren, Chris Thompson, Miranda Cronan, Mitch Jenkins, Allie Jenkins and Eli Johnson; niece, April Edgemon; nephews, Sam Baines , Greg Baines and Marc Wattenbarger; and several great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Kyker Funeral Home Sweetwater, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM in Kyker’s Chapel with Rev. Bill Dawson officiating. Graveside service and Interment 1:00 PM Friday at Beulah Chapel Church of Nazarene Cemetery. Kyker Funeral Homes, Sweetwater, in charge of the arrangements.
