Shirley Elizabeth (Cregan) Brusseau, 88, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on February 3, 2017.

Shirley Elizabeth was born on Wednesday August 22, 1928, to Catherine Rooney and William Cregan. Their first child, she was soon big sister to Jean, Marilyn, Donna, Patty, Bill and Jackie. The family eventually settled in one of the old homes on Irving Avenue, Minneapolis.

Shirley lived by her faith and, before her passing, promised ‘See you soon.’

Shirley is predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband Gaylord (Gabe) Brusseau, deeply cherished grandsons, Matthew Brusseau and Andrew Sellner, daughter-in-law, Linda, and her sister, Jean.

Shirley’s greatest legacy are her 9 children; Mary (John) Sellner, Joseph (Judith) Brusseau, Francis (the late Linda) Brusseau, Peg (Peter Cox) Brusseau, Paul (Nancy) Brusseau, Barbra (Lyle) Fleck, Michael (Karen) Brusseau, Brigid (Michael) Borka, and Anne (Duane) Linkert; 17 grandchildren; Brennan (Maria) Sellner, Peter and Becca Brusseau, Charlotte (James) Lourenco, Catie (Mark) Hubbard, Erin (Christian) Greiner, Megan (Shane) Baskerville, Louis and Beau Cox-Brusseau, Amanda (Aaron) Blem, Colleen Fleck, Rachel Brusseau, Sallie (Brian McCulloch) Brusseau, Emily (girlfriend Meg) Borka, Andre (Ali Baker) Borka, Melissa and Benjamin Linkert; 6 great-grandchildren; Jude and Leo Greiner, Henry Lourenco, Ariel and Vanessa Hubbard, and Andrew Blem. She is also survived by her dear siblings, sisters; Marilyn, Donna, Patty, and Jackie, and brother, Bill; precious nieces and nephews, and too many friends to count.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Shirley’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association: http://act.alz.org/goto/Shirley_Brusseau
