Rhoads, Ruth A. 89, of Manassas, VA (formerly of Mesa, Arizona) passed away on October 1, 2015. She was born on December 23, 1925 in Winamac, IN to Verl and Dica Ale Hathaway. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands Dwight Decker and James Rhoads, as well as daughter Kathleen Decker. Ruth graduated from Winamac High School in 1943 and also received training in bookkeeping, a field in which she was employed during her early adult years. She earned her Associate of Arts degree at Mesa Community College when she was in her 60s. After her children were grown, she participated in many arts and crafts activities and traveled the U.S. extensively with husband, James Rhoads. Survivors include two sons from her first marriage to Dwight Decker, a daughter from her marriage to James Rhoads,three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
