Ruth “Estelle” Harrison Green, 95, of Pensacola, Florida died Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Summer Vista Assisted Living.

Ruth married Douglas Brooks Green in 1943 and lived in Opp, Alabama, Los Angeles, California and finally living in Pensacola.
Ruth was a woman of unusual grace and style. A mother of nine, she loved her family with a fierce joy and devotion. Her children and grandchildren adored her and friends loved her. Our mother was a paragon of class, virtue and poise….she spoke her mind with dignity and she held herself and those around her to the highest standards.
She was a member of Calvary Way Full Gospel – Pastor Carl Shiver she loved you with all her heart. Ruth was a beautiful woman who led a strong Christian life. She was witnessing and praying for those at her resident home days before her death. She was a wife, a mother, a grandmother, great grandmother, a pastor’s wife, counselor and best friend to many. Mother was a fashionista, a great story teller and an unparalleled cook. Very few people knew but she was a model for Mr. Joseph in California.
She is preceded in death by the love of her life the Rev. Douglas B. Green and son Douglas B. Green, Jr. and all her siblings.
