Adolph Nathan Fillingim, age 95, of Roosevelt, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at the Sr. Villa.
Nate was born July 5, 1921 in Vernal to Otis Lee and Orel Marie Hunting Fillingim. He married Leah Lorraine Jackman on June 19, 1944 in Elko, Nevada. They were sealed on March 10, 2010, in the Vernal LDS Temple.
Nate delighted in spending time with his family. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, camping, fishing, riding and packing horses. He enjoyed working with leather, making saddles for all of his children and a variety of other things. He liked farming and worked many years with sheep. He believed in living life to the fullest and accomplished numerous things through the years. He was a big man with a large heart and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
His family would like to express thanks and appreciation to the Villa for their care during his stay with them.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Lorraine Fillingim, children Billie (John) Reed, Barbara (Jerry) Ross, all of Roosevelt; Patricia Cupp, Woodburn, OR; Jack (Cathy) Fillingim, Ned Fillingim, all of Roosevelt; Shirley (Rick) Lucero, Neola; Chance (Dana) Fillingim, Veyo, UT; 43 grandchildren, 93 great grandchildren and 39 great-great grandchildren, brothers, Jim (Genile) Fillingim , Orem; and Leon (Betty) Fillingim, Myton
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Sam Fillingim, brothers Eugene Fillingim, William Hansen, sisters, Adell Hostetter, Lola Prough and a great-grandson Coy Dietz Clayburn.
Funeral services held on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary. A viewing will be held 1 hour prior to the service.
