She was born in Paducah, KY., on April 14, 1923, to Thomas Edgar Fox and Sally (Jenkins) Fox. She was a member of South First Street Baptist in Mayfield, KY.
She is survived by her daughter, Judith Ann McGregor of Paducah and her son Larry Edward (Diane) Beard of Kuttawa, KY.; She is also survived by her sisters, Martha Ann (Russ) Morgan of Bowling Green, KY., and Mary Nell (Raymond) Rich of Millington, TN.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by Lindsey Garrett Wells, her surrogate great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, James C. Beard; her "other son," Vernon Ray McGregor; a sister, Edna Frances White; brothers, Joseph Edward Fox, Jewel Reid (Bo) Fox, Floyd Ronald Fox; one infant brother and one infant sister.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 4, at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.
Visitation is scheduled from 10:00 A.M. until the funeral hour at the funeral home. Rev. David Key will officiate. Interment will follow in the Symsonia Cemetery.
