William STALLSWORTH
Died at his home in 7-42, of Typhoid fever, William Stallsworth, aged 32 years. Buried at New Liberty Cemetery.

News of the death of the above touched a chord in the heart of ye editor, and brought back to memory the time when I was a homesteader and close neighbor of the deceased. I was with "Tone" and his brothers off from home trying to earn a few dollars to keep up through the coming winter, and was taken sick. While sick and out of money and away from relatives "Tone" and his brothers cared for me like a brother, and each one went down into their pockets to give me financial aid as well as to care for me as best they could. I feel that I owe my life to them, and can do no less, as a just tribute to the dead, than offer this confession in praise of one who has preceded me to an unknown world.
