He was born 17 Feb. 1828 and baptized the following March 15 at St-Cesaire, Rouville, Quebec, Canada. His parents were Joseph Lacasse and Marie-Reine Menard dit Bellerose. He married Mary Barshaw (formerly Marie Bergeron) at Sacred Heart Church, Notre Dame, St Joseph, Indiana 4 May 1846. His marriage record at Sacred Heart Church name him as Benony Lacase. His St. Joseph County civil marriage record recorded his name as William. William died before the marriage of his widow to Placide Lario (Loriot) - FAG 149940395 - on 20 Aug 1854 at Sacred Heart Church, Notre Dame, Indiana.
The two children of William and Mary Lacoss appeared in the 1860 U.S. census in the household of Placid Lario and Mary (Barshaw) Lario.
