Born in Youngstown, OH, on July 28, 1949, Catherine came here from Hicksville, New York, in 1972. Catherine was an advanced registered nurse practitioner and received her nursing degree from Polk State College before obtaining a Masters Degree from USF. She retired from LRMC in 1998, after 27 years of service. After volunteering for eight years, she became Clinic Director and Nurse Practitioner at Good Samaritan Free Clinic within Talbot House Ministries.
Ms. Bussey was preceded in death by her father Francis F. Bussey; mother Mary Elizabeth Bussey; sister Mary Elizabeth Santiago. She is survived by her sister Muriel Robbins, Lakeland, brother Francis Fredrick Bussey, Sanford, sisters Dolores Marchesano, Port Richey, Lois Stefko, Latrobe, PA, niece Jeannette Murphy, Lakeland, along with 9 nieces and nephews.
