Jacob Phillip "Jake" Heintz was born 12 Sept 1884 in Hollowayville, Selby Township, Bureau County, IL to Elizabeth (Walter) & Jacob Phillip Heintz. He was baptized 16 Nov 1884 in Hollowayville Evangelical & Reformed Church in Hollowayville, IL and on 22 Dec 1907 married Olga Nickels in Peru, LaSalle County, IL. They lived in Hollowayville, except for a short time when they lived in Creston, Platte County, NE. Jake was the custodian at St. John's Lutheran Church-on-the-Hill and ran the Hollywood & Vine Tavern in Hollowayville. On the 22 Dec 1972 Jake and Olga celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary. Olga (Nickel) Heintz died 10 July 1973 and Jake died 7 May 1975 at St. Margaret's Hospital, Spring Valley, Bureau County, IL after a month illness at the age of 90, and was buried 11 May 1975 at the Peru City Cemetery, LaSalle County, IL.
