Funeral services for Daniel Frank Alderman, 41, of Huntington, will be held Saturday, February 4, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at Bald Hill Baptist Church with Brother Roger Fancher officiating. Interment will follow at Fielders Cemetery.
Mr. Alderman was born February 27, 1975 in Lufkin, the son of Paul Franklin Alderman and Gail Lynn Melancon, and died January 31, 2017 in Huntington.
Daniel enjoyed attending Bald Hill Baptist Church and loved spending time with his family. He was employed as a truck driver with many companies for many years. Pepsi, Blue Bell, and Transit Mix were a few, but Blue Bell was his favorite because he could eat all the ice cream he wanted!
He is survived by his wife, Erika Alderman; daughters, Amanda Deanette and Taylor Nicole Alderman; son, Xaniel Drake Alderman; step daughter, Laurel Anne Melton; father, Paul Franklin Alderman; and brother, David Paul Alderman.
Daniel is proceeded in death by his mother, Gail Lynn Melancon.
Pallbearers will be Gerald Spradlin, William Spradlin, Jared Spradlin, David Yarborough, Jason Skelton, Eddie Johnson, Todd Foyil and Jim Erbey.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Xaniel Alderman, Chris Pahal and Leon Dunn.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 3, 2017 at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin.
