"Bill" was born in Collinsville, Texas and passed away peacefully at his home in Clovis with his loving family by his side.

Bill served with the U.S. Army during WWII from 1942 to 1945.

He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed gardening, and he was a dedicated family man that would never turn down anyone in need. There were always many stories to tell at family functions or around the campfire. He was a soft spoken man, but very strong at heart. He was adored by many and will be missed by all. We will all cherish our time together and memories he helped create.

Bill was preceded in death by his mother, father, three brothers, two sisters, and his loyal companion "Cassey".

He is survived by Marie Wells of Clovis, his loving wife and best friend of 60 years; sons Wayne and Dale Wells of Clovis, Billy Wells and his wife Lucy of Fresno, and Gary Wells and his wife Denise of Clovis.

He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren, nine great- grandchildren; his brother, F.W. "Dude" Wells of Clovis, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held at Boice Funeral Home in Clovis on Friday, January 19, 2007, from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m.

A Graveside Service will be held at Clovis District Cemetery on Saturday, January 20, 2007, at 9:30 a.m.

Remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2222 W. Shaw Ave, Ste. #201, Fresno, CA. 93711
