Gilbert A. Reimann, age 90, of Westfield passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, January 31, 2017 at Silver Lake Manor in Wautoma.

He was born September 25, 1926 in the Township of Newton, Marquette County, the son of Bernard and Mary (Polinski) Reimann.

Gilbert farmed the family homestead in the Township of Newton his entire life. He loved farming and John Deere tractors. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Westfield. Gilbert enjoyed his 90th birthday celebration held for him at Silver Lake Manor.

Gilbert also had a special gift of his wonderful smile that would warm the heart and brighten the day of EVERYONE that he met.

He is survived by one sister, Mabel Margell, Glendale, CA; his nephew, Tom Margell, Glendale, CA; his cousin, Doris Schwanke, Westfield; special cousin, Eugene “Gene” (Michelle) Wedde and their sons Joshua and Casey of Wautoma who Gilbert was especially grateful for. Gilbert is further survived by other cousins, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and by three brothers, Friedrich Reimann, Gordon Reimann and by Arnold Reimann in infancy.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Westfield with Rev. Gary Schultz officiating. Burial will be in Westfield East Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Saturday at the Church from 1:30 p.m. until the time of services.

The family wishes to express heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Agnesian Hospice Hope and Silver Lake Manor for their compassionate care.
