Patricia was born in York on December 6, 1933, daughter of the late Lester P. and Frances J. (Small) McSherry.
She retired from the York City School District cafeteria department, having worked at Hannah Penn and Goode Schools.
She was a custodian and wedding planner at Ausbury United Methodist Church. She was a member of Ausbury U.M. Church and its choir and head of the prayer chain.
The viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 902 Mt. Rose Ave.
The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Ausbury U.M. Church, 340 E. Market St., with the Rev. Donald Slaybaugh, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
Patricia is survived by three sons, Randy L. Hess of W.York, Jamie L. Hess, of New Oxford, and Daniel H. Hess of Rome, GA; stepdaughter, Adonna J. Hess of W. York; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild, sister, Claire Jean Aikens of York. She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald N. Hess.
