OBITUARY: Judith Ann Garvey
New Hampshire Union Leader (Manchester, NH) — Thursday, January 19, 2012 MANCHESTER

Judith Ann "Judi" (Keaney) Garvey, 60, of Manchester, died Jan. 17, 2012, at Elliot Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Norwood, Mass., on Aug. 25, 1951, she was the daughter of Robert J. and Dorothy (Kenny) Keaney. She was a Manchester resident since 1962.

She graduated from Immaculata High School in 1969, where she played basketball and softball.

Until her retirement in 1996, she was an administrative assistant with New England Telephone Co. for 26 years.

Mrs. Garvey will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, whose family was the center of her life. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She was an avid New England Patriots fan. One of her favorite pastimes was spending time at Cape Cod.

She was a member of the Manchester Fish and Game Club, where she served on the board of directors.

Family members include her husband of 15 years, Joseph D. Garvey of Manchester; a daughter, Jessica (Steck) Huard and her husband, Alex, of Hooksett; two stepsons, Adam Garvey of Lowell, Mass., Wesley Garvey of Portsmouth; a stepdaughter, Casey Garvey of Somerville, Mass.; and three beloved grandsons, Aidan, Logan and Owen; a step-granddaughter, Ashlyn; a brother, Robert J. Keaney Jr. and his wife, Stacey of New Milford, Conn.; a sister, Jane M. Newman of Brookfield, Conn.; a sister-in-law, Anne Marie Keaney of Manchester; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Timothy F. Keaney.

SERVICES: A memorial reception will be held Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union St., corner of Concord Street, Manchester. The funeral will be held Saturday with a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10 A.M. in Saint Pius X Church, Candia Road, Manchester.
