Marie Chaney of Frederick, Maryland passed away on May 28, 2013. She was born on July 19, 1920 in Washington, DC, and was the daughter of the late Arthur and Annie Ellis. She was the wife of the late Calvert Chaney. Marie spent many years as a supervisor with Lansburgh's Department Store followed by a second career in banking with National Permanent Federal Savings and Loan, until moving to Frederick in 1979. She is survived by her children, Candice Bishoff and husband Les of Frederick and Arthur Chaney of Silver Spring, Maryland; a brother, Emmett Ellis of Frederick; and close friends, Lawrence and Keith Brescia of Silver Spring.
