Robert Kelly, 78, of Natchitoches, LA, passed away January 29, 2017. He was born April 27, 1938, in Kinder, LA to George Kelly, Jr. and Necy Butler Kelly. Robert was a jack of all trades and had a natural talent for fixing what was broken. He served his country by joining the U.S. Navy, dedicating many years of his life to its cause. He had an outgoing personality, never meeting a stranger, and always tried to wear a smile. He loved to fish, garden, hunt, and watch either the N.O. Saints or LSU Tigers play football. Robert loved the Lord and read the Bible often. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sons, Glenn Kelly, Zendal Kelly, and Kenneth Kelly; one daughter, Delores Kelly McGee; one sister, Laura Louise Kelly; and two brothers, Thadeus Kelly and George 'Dal' Kelly.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Necy Loyce Kelly Bennett and her husband Bradley of Natchitoches; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one sister, Loyce Roland of Riverside, OH; and one brother, Ernest Ray Kelly of Alexandria, LA.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later time.
