Mathew Scott Hill, age 59, passed away at Essentia Health - St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd MN on January 27, 2017.
Matt was born on March 28, 1957, in Brainerd, MN to Mathew A. and Yvonne (Wolf) Hill. He graduated from Brainerd High School in 1975 and made a living as a printer for Bang Printing in Brainerd, MN and Nahan Printing in St. Cloud, MN.
On Oct. 15, 1983 he married Cheryl Rudow in Brainerd, MN. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his father, brothers, children and friends and actively followed local sports. He had a way with words that always got a laugh and brought people together. Matt was a lifetime resident of Brainerd.
Matt is survived by his two children, Eric (Juliet) Hill and Leah (Scott) Hill Monroy; his mother, Yvonne (Edward) Yunker; two brothers, Mark Hill and Martin (Stacy) Hill; one sister, Margo (Reid) Johnson as well as one grandson, and many aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Matt is preceded in death by his father Mathew A. Hill and his brother Michael Hill.
