Henry McKee, 91, Meta, a native of Miller county, died Saturday, Sept. 2, 1978 at Phelps County Hospital in Rolla. He was born June 19, 1887, in Miller County to William and Laura Keeth McKee. April 21, 1910, he was married to Frances Woody who preceded him in death April 4, 1938.
Mr. McKee was a lifelong resident of the area, fanning and working as a carpenter. He was a member of the Brays Advent Christian Church.
Surviving are a son, I. D. (Budge) McKee, of Meta; two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Ricker, of Meta, and Laura Anita McKee Woody., of Ballwin; a brother, Hirsty Clergy McKee., of Iberia; and eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 P. M. Tuesday at the Campground Christian Church near Meta with the Rev. Earl Jones officiating. Burial was in Pendleton Cemetery under the direction of Stevinson Funeral Home of Meta.
