Aldine R. Derr was born in Bay City, MI on March 4, 1929 to the late Albert J. and Gertrude L. (Schauer) Miller. She passed away at Bay Medical Care Facility on January 28, 2017.
Aldine was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She retired from the Bay City Chevrolet plant in 1981 after 33 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Derr in 1964.
She is survived by her sister Ruth A. Miller, her brother Manning A. Miller, her niece Kim (Rick) Gerard, her nephew Kevin (Jan) Miller, a great niece and great nephews: Shannon (Aaron) Wackerle, Kyle (Jessica) Gerard and Jordan (Sarah) Miller and a great-great nephew Wyatt Wackerle.
Funeral and committal service will be Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church. The Rev. Leroy Westphal will officiate. Private burial will be at Green Ridge Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church. Visiting hours will be Monday from 2 to 7 p.m. at Penzien-Steele Funeral Home. She will lie in state at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until service time.
