Peter A. Deibig, 68, of Liberty Twp., Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on January 26, 2017. Pete was the beloved son of Bertram B. and Frances L. Deibig of Galion, Ohio and was born on December 28, 1948. They preceded him in death; he had no siblings. On May 12, 1973, he and Nancy Jones were united in Holy Matrimony at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Galion, Ohio. They have two sons, Gregory (Victoria) of Nashville TN and Brian (Tracey) of Mason, OH. They have five grandsons: Justin and Owen of Mason, OH and Evan, Luca and Theo of Nashville, TN. Pete is a graduate of Galion High School, The Ohio State University with a BS, and Golden Gate University with an MBA. He served two years in the US Navy and 20 years in the US Air Force retiring with the rank of Lt. Col. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War as well as Operation Desert Storm. Pete was a member of St. Maximillian Catholic Church and Hamilton Elks Lodge #93. Visitation will be held at St. Maximillian Kolbe Church 5720 Hamilton-Mason Rd., Liberty Twp., Wednesday February 1st from 10:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Final internment will be at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery Cincinnati OH. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Cancer Association or Hospice of Cincinnati.
