Our beloved mother and grandmother, Iva Lauritzen Clawson, age 74, passed away May 15, 1999.
Born May 5, 1925 in Logan, Utah to Waldamer Antone and Bernettie M. Winn Lauritzen. Married Roy A. Clawson Oct. 27, 1946 in Elko, Nevada. They were later divorced. She was a member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Iva was employed by the State of Utah Department of Highways for 25 years and was the first female soil lab technician in Utah. Survivors: two daughters and two sons, Sherry (Keith) Ainscough, Red Deer, Alberta, Canada; Ken Clawson, Orlando, Florida; Dan Clawson, Salt Lake; Joni (Mark) Kohagen, Salt Lake; 11 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, three sisters, Lorraine Frazier, Anona Landry, and Carol Carter. Preceded in death by parents, one brother, and three sisters.
Memorial service Sat. 5 p.m., May 22, 1999 at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1441 W. Tamarack Road (4565 S.).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Iva Clawson Memorial Fund in care of the The Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
