Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 16, 2004, at Assumption Catholic Church in Eden Valley for Clara C. Arnold, age 87, who died Wednesday at Emmanuel Nursing Home in Litchfield. Rev Virgil Braun will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Thursday (TODAY) at Dingmann's Eden Valley Funeral Home. Assumption Christian Mothers will pray at 6:30 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 7 p.m. and American Legion Post 381 Auxiliary prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Clara was born December 28, 1916, in Forest Prairie Township, Meeker County, to Peter and Mary (Kramer) Bauer. She married Gilbert Arnold on September 16, 1935, at Assumption Catholic Church in Eden Valley. They farmed in Forest Prairie Township until 1967, when they moved to Eden Valley. She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church, Assumption Christian Mothers, and American Legion Post 381 Auxiliary.
Clara was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gilbert, on June 19, 1990; daughter, Lynnae Zwolensky; sister, Elinore Folkstad; brother, Harold Bauer; and two infant sons.
