Richard Gerald Walser, 68, of Jefferson passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2017. He was born September 26, 1948 to Dot Walser Benson and the late Bill Walser. Rick was a huge fan of Ford Trucks and along with his family built and worked at the I-70 Truck Stop in Frederick. He was known by many to be a "perfectionist" in his lawn care maintenance with lines properly placed throughout the freshly mowed grass. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and one of his biggest enjoyments was eating bbq from his birthplace of Lexington, North Carolina. In addition to his mother he is survived by his daughter, Pamela Wood. Sisters; Beverly Walser and husband Bill, and Tina Walser Morgan. And many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 4th at 11 AM at the Historical Chapel at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Highway, Frederick. Inurnment will be private.
