Mrs. Alice Ann Ballard age 55 of Towe Rd. Blairsville passed away on Wednesday Jan. 25, 2017 from injuries received in an automobile accident. Mrs. Ballard was born on Nov. 12, 1961 in Murphy, NC., the daughter of the late Fred Thurman McGaha and the late Estella Ellen Abernathy McGaha. She was a lifelong resident of Union County. Alice enjoyed collecting things, walking at Meeks Park with her family and most of all loved the Lord. She always made sure that her family always had a good Christmas. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Johnny Worthy and her second husband, Robert Eugene Ballard Sr and a daughter, Barbara Ann Worthy. Alice was a member of the Fellowship of the Hills Church.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday Jan. 31, 2017 at 2:00 pm from the Mountain View Chapel. Interment will follow on Wednesday Feb. 1, 2017 at 12:00 pm from the Walnut Grove Cemetery in Roebuck, SC.
