Rev ABEL BUSTOS MORENO was born in San Antonio Texas on March 17, 1962. He had six other siblings; Elva, Norma, Eddie, Lisa, Nora, and Carolina.

When Abel was a young boy, he was given a nick name “El hombre rico”. Abel graduated in 1981 from Fox Tech High School in San Antonio and enrolled into Latin American Bible Institute (LABI) that fall. He continued his studies at Bethel Bible Institute of Blue Island Illinois where he received his bachelor’s degree.

In 1982 Abel joined a ministering band, “Prophecy” traveling throughout the states ministering in music and word.

On October 28, 1989 he married Ermelinda Costilla, never imagining that he would find his wife in Indiana in a small town called Plymouth.

In January of 1990 Abel was called to be senior pastor of Templo Calvario in Plymouth. In 2000 Abel founded Lighthouse Assembly of God in Fort Wayne Indiana. He remained senior pastor there up until he resigned in 2007.

In 2008 Abel joined the ministry at New Covenant Worship Center as an associate pastor. He was pastor of Pastoral Care, Prayer Ministry, and the Hispanic Ministry.

At the age of 52, the Lord called Abel home to rest. He was preceded in death by his sister, Elisa Esquivel.

Abel leaves behind to cherish his memories, with family and friends, his loving wife of 25 years and his son, his parents, and his siblings.

Rev Moreno will be laid to rest in Highland Park Cemetery.
