Philip was a son of "Ticky" George W. Fleming and Susannah (Mullins) Fleming. He married (1) Bertha Breshers on February 24, 1913 in Paw Paw, Pike Co., Ky. He married (2) Elsie Marie Mullins, daughter of Margie Pearl (Grizzle) Mullins and Arnold Mullins, on Dec. 21, 1955.

Children of Philip and second wife Elsie:
1. Barbara Lee FLEMING, b. Oct. 28, 1955
2. Philip Lyle FLEMING

Elsie was 35 years younger than Philip; they were only married one year before he died from a heart attack at the age of 66 years. Philip worked as a store merchant, and Elsie as a store clerk.

Philip Lee Fleming, 66, prominent Raven, Va., merchant died suddenly yesterday at his store in Raven following a heart attack.

He was born at Clintwood, Va., the son of the late George and Susanne Mullins Fleming. They were both natives of Dickenson County. He had been a resident of Raven for the past 25 years.

He is survived by his wife, the former, Elsie Mullins; one daughter, Barbara Lee Fleming of Raven; five step children, Dennis Mullins, Linda Mullins, Douglas Mullins, Terry Mullins, all of Raven and Lindsey Milam of Laredo.

Four brothers, Creed, Russell, Dewey and Carlton, all of Clintwood; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Strouth of Clintwood and Mrs. Hulda Mullins of Wise, Va., and one half sister, Mrs. Ellen Deel of Nora, Va.

Interment in the Clinch Valley Memorial Cemetery at Richlands.
The body will be removed from the Farmer Funeral Home to the residence this morning.
