Mary Jane Harris, 91, of Burlington, died at 3:55 PM Saturday, January 21, 2017, at the Great River Klein Center.
Born May 7, 1925, in Fort Madison, she was the daughter of Eugene "Stanley" and Elizabeth M. Moeller Abolt. On November 24, 1945, she married Charles Henry Harris in Burlington, Iowa. He died on January 26, 2007.
Jane worked in food service for many years with the Burlington School System at many locations.
She was a member of SS John & Paul Catholic Church. She enjoyed researching genealogy, cooking, reading, gardening, and raising potted flowers. She enjoyed the houseboat out on the Mississippi river, taking trips out to the east coast to visit relatives, and spending time with her family.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and one sister.
