Margaret A. "Dolly" (Bowser) Baker, 86, of South Buffalo Township died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2003 at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, East Franklin Township.
She was born Jan. 18, 1917 in North Buffalo Township to Allison and Anna Elizabeth (Snyder) Bowser.
Mrs. Baker was a homemaker.
She served as a corporal in the Women's Army Corps.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Janet A.) Slama of Slate Lick, Mrs. Larry (Patricia A.) Soose of Butler, and Mrs. Calvin (Kathleen S.) Beers of South Buffalo Township; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two sisters, Naomi Rupert of Winterhaven, Fla., and Evelyn Hidinger of Freeport.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James C. Baker, who died in 1982; two brothers, Arnold and Russell Bowser; two sisters, Garnet and Beatrice Smith; and two siblings who died in infancy.

"Dolly" (Bow-ser) Baker, 86, of South Buf-falo Township, who died Aug. 26, 2003, will be re-ceived from 7 to 9 p.m. Wed-nesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Redmond Funeral Home, Inc., 524 High St., Freeport, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. James Dersham, pastor of Union Baptist Church, North Buffalo Township, officiating. Burial will be at Slate Lick Cemetery.
