Charles Raymond "Ray" Blevins, 94, entered into rest at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2017, at York Hospital.

He was the loving husband of Romaine L. (Rupert) Blevins. The couple celebrated 73 years of marriage on March 24, 2016.

Born January 6, 1923, in Gatchellville, Ray was a son of the late Bron and Ethel (Torbert) Blevins.

He was a farmer and a truck driver for York Casket Company.

Ray was a member of the New Life Assembly of God in East Berlin.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Norma Jean Miller of York; a daughter-in-law, Vickie Blevins of Sarasota FL; three grandchildren, Brett Miller, Angela Russell, and Christina Rumancik; seven great-grandchildren, Larissa and Kayla Miller, Tyler, Amber, and Owen Russell and Austin Jeffrey and Zachary Rumancik; two sisters, Mary Bortner of Admire and Betty Ensor of York Springs; and two brothers, Merle Blevins of Chambersburg and Dale Blevins of East Berlin.

In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Raymond Blevins; a brother, Paul Blevins; and three sisters, Edna and Ruth Blevins and Odessa Leighty.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Ray's funeral at 11 a.m. and the viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2017, at Bermudian Church of the Brethren, 279 Bermudian Church Rd., East Berlin, PA 17316.

Burial will follow in Bermudian Church Cemetery. Officiating will be his pastor, the Rev. Joel Everhart, and Pastor Larry Dentler of Bermudian Church of the Brethren. Emig Funeral Home, Dover, is serving his family.
