Paul A. Latzko, 86, of Wilkes-Barre Township, entered into eternal rest Friday afternoon, Jan. 20, 2017, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Paul was born in Exeter on Dec. 17, 1930. He was the son of the late Paul and Mary (Zavada) Latzko.
Paul was a graduate of Exeter High School, Class of 1949. He was employed by Rex Shoe Company, Exeter, for many years and Wilkes-Barre General Hospital until his retirement. He was a devoted member of St. Leo's/Holy Rosary Church, Ashley.
Paul's greatest joy was spending time with his family. He also enjoyed gardening, reading and traveling especially with his dear sister-in-law, Patricia Sullivan and her husband, Ellis. He will be dearly missed by all those whose lives he touched.
Surviving are his loving wife of 59 years, the former Joan M. Dedalis; son, Dr. Paul J. Latzko and his wife, Louise, Dallas; daughter, Karen A. Ritter and her husband, Michael, Dunkirk, Md.; grandchildren, Joseph Latzko, Jessica, Megan, Maria and Caitlin Ritter; brothers, Albert Latzko and his wife, Laverne, Bowie, Md.; Michael Latzko, Exeter; sister, Anna Mae Grajewski and husband, John, Shickshinny; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Paul will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday from George A. Strish Inc. Funeral Home, 105 N. Main St., Ashley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Leo's/ Holy Rosary Church, Ashley. Interment will be held in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.
