George W. Foster was born October 4, 1885 at Montgomery, Alabama, son of James A. and Molly New Foster. He married Minnie Rodecker in Joplin, Mo., in 1908, and she preceded him in death in 1970.

George died Tuesday morning at Bothwell hospital, aged 87 years. He was a retired mechanic for the Missouri Pacific Railroad. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Rene (Margaret) Crippen. Graveside services will be held at Oakwood cemetery in Parsons. - Sedalia Democrat - Tues. Jan. 2, 1973 pg.4
