Ricky was a faithful Christian and of the Pentecostal faith. He attended several churches in the county, loved children and was considered Daddy Day Care of the churches. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and tinkering on everything. A loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Elsie O’Quinn, brothers Moscoe, Otto, Johnny, Donnie and Michael Belcher.
Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-one years and nine months, Ruby Ann Ratliff Belcher of Grundy, VA; daughters Kimberly Ann Stiltner and husband Craig of Grundy, VA, Bonnesha Sue Hackney and husband Greg of Maxie, VA; sisters Velcie Elswick, Patsy Shortridge and Mickey Stiltner all of Abingdon, VA, Sue McKinney of Telford, TN and Lois Strunk of OH.
He is also survived by his grandchildren: Canaan Stiltner, Ethan Hackney, Hannah Stiltner and Emilee Hackney; great-grandchildren: Colston Hackney and Hayston Hackney.
Funeral service for Ricky Lon Belcher will be held at the Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home Chapel of Grundy, VA, Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Eddie Wilson, Pastor Tim Brown, Pastor Danny Hess and Reverend Josh Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in the Tom Sparks Cemetery on Rock Ridge in Paynesville, WV.
Active pallbearers will be Craig Stiltner, Greg Hackney, Buck Ratliff, Tommy Ratliff, Ethan Hackney, Canaan Stiltner, Donnie Grizzel, Johnboy Belcher, Matthew Bennett, Jarrod Belcher, Dalton Brown and Shawn Skeens.
The family will receive friends at the Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home Chapel of Grundy, VA, Tuesday, January 24, 2017 after 6:00 p.m. with evening service to be held at 7:00 p.m.
