Mary K. Brattain,
69, of Indianapolis passed away January 18, 2017. She was born May 17, 1947 to the late John Francis and Catherine Josephine Mortlock Keefe. Mary was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School and was employed for many years at AT&T/Indiana Bell, retiring in 2008. She was a member of the Communications Workers of America and the Telephone Pioneers at Indiana Bell. Mary volunteered at Little Flower Catholic Church and Community Hospital East. She enjoyed hosting parties, playing cards with friends and was an avid Colts and Falcons fan.
Visitation will be Friday, January 27, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Thompson Road Chapel, 3333 E. Thompson Rd., with funeral service Saturday, January 28th at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Mary is survived by son, Jim Montgomery (Christina); grandson, James; brother, Steve Keefe (Rose); and sister, Maggie Keefe. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Russell Brattain; brothers, John, Mark, Paul Keefe and Bill O’Keefe.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
