ASHEBORO - Faye Stella Patterson Smith, 86, of Sunset Ave., died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 1999, at her home.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, 1999, at Asheboro United Church of Christ, with the Rev. Nathan King officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
She was the daughter of Clyde and Mae Lineberry Patterson. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ralph Smith; and a son, Tony Martin Smith. A Randolph County native, she was retired from Bossong Hosiery Mill. She was a member of Asheboro United Church of Christ and the Friendly Sunday School Class.
Surviving are a daughter, Carol Faye Smith of the home; and a son, William Donald Smith of Asheboro; sisters, Margaret P. Harkey and Bertha P. Burkhead, both of Asheboro; two grandchildren, William Donald Smith, Jr. of Hampstead, and Lynn Smith Covington of Pilot Mountain; four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, 1999, at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro, other times, at the home.
