Funeral services for Deacon Bennett G. Davis, Daytona Beach, will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the Daytona Deliverance Church of God, 601 George W. Engram Blvd. Daytona Beach, Bishop William Lee, Eulogist and Bishop Roger Phillips, officiant. Visitation will be held Friday from 4pm to 7pm at Daytona Deliverance Church of God. Burial will take place at Daytona Memorial Park.
Bennett George Davis was born January 21, 1938 in Eastman, Georgia the son of the Bertha Mae Lawson and Joe Davis. He married to Christine Davis on January 25, 1959.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 58 years, Evangelist Christine Davis; Children: Robin B. Davis (Frankie) Jacksonville, Candace E. Davis, Vickkie Coleman (James), Grandchildren: Channing Davis, Amelia Christine Davis, Evan Davis; Great-Grandchild: Kylie Davis, Sisters: Mary Ann Hay, Pamela Jones.
He was preceded in death by Mary Jean White (Sister), Nathaniel Lawson (Brother), Ronald Lawson (Brother), Dianne Lawson (Sister).
Deacon Davis worked as a Truck driver for Mobil Oil and Gulf Oil for 35 years and a Driver for Bethune Cookman University for 8 years. He was also a Dedicated Deacon at Daytona Deliverance Church of God with a membership of over 40 years.
