Mary Mildred Yoakum, 67, of Springfield died at 3:10 p.m. Monday at St. John's Hospital.
She was born Sept. 21, 1926, in Springfield, the daughter of Earl and Sarah L. Davis Archer.
She married Ray Yoakum in 1960.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Ray, in 1977; and a brother, Leonard Archer.
Mrs. Yoakum was employed by Fairhills Mel-O-Cream, Bachman-Keefner Drug Store and Ann Rutledge Pancake House.
She was a member of Knox Knolls Free Methodist Church, Women's Ministries International and valedictorian of Auburn High School Class of 1944.
Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Edward (Debbie) Gonet of Springfield; son, Ron Yoakum of Springfield; a grandson; a sister, Mrs. Jarrie (Margaret) Turner of Springfield; two brothers, George Archer of Jacksonville and Tom Archer of Springfield; several aunts and uncles; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Knox Knolls Free Methodist Church, with the Revs. Herbert Coates and Steven Coates officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
