Gregory William White, son of Robert W. White and Marie (Gardner) White was born June 28, 1963 in Des Moines, Iowa and passed from this life Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at his home in Des Moines, Iowa at 53 years of age.

Greg graduated from Clarke Community High School in 1981. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in April 1982 and served in the Navy Seabees until his discharge in August of 1985. Greg lived in Gulfport, Mississippi until moving back to Iowa 10 years ago.

Greg worked construction, landscaping, retail sales and warehousing. He loved his dog Skip and it was a great loss when he died. Greg enjoyed bicycling, working crossword puzzles, drawing, painting and reading.

Those preceding Greg in death were his aunt, Mary Gardner, grandparents, Lloyd and Clarice Gardner, grandparents, Thomas E. and Margaret White, and his very special dog, Skip.

Greg leaves to cherish his memory; parents, Robert W. and Marie White of Osceola, IA, sister, Brenda L. White and her husband Donnie of Waukee, IA, niece, Ashleigh and nephew, Dakota of Waukee, IA as well as three aunts, two uncles, many cousins and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to his family for a fitting tribute to be decided at a later date.
