Bean, Robert M. "Bob", 86, passed away Wednesday January 18, 2017 at Sts. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital. Bob was born in Louisville, KY on July 27, 1930.

He attended St. Anthony Grade School, graduated from Flaget High School, and was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He spent the majority of his career at Bob Bean Realty Co, as a Certified Property Manager retiring in December 2016. He was a long time member of St. Matthias Catholic Church and is now a member of Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Bishop Spaulding Council, Knights of St. John, the Lions Club, and a KY Colonel. Bob enjoyed watching sports, in particular golf, Notre Dame, and Green Bay Packers football.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Mary Josephine Decker.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Marianne Stewart Bean; children, Robert J. Bean (Mary Jo), Cathy M. Hearld (Jimmy) and Michael J. Bean (Debra); and a grandson, Andrew W. Bean.

The funeral Mass is 9 a.m. Tuesday at his church, 4335 Hazelwood Ave. followed by burial in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Monday at Joseph E. Ratterman & Son, 7336 Southside Drive.
