Shirley Schmidt Baird, 88, of Muscatine, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2017 in her home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation for Shirley will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. till service time. Shirley Jean Strong was born on July 13, 1928, in Muscatine, Iowa the daughter of Everett and Pauline Strong. Shirley was a member of First Baptist Church, she enjoyed going to restaurants, yard sales, walking, driving and most of all spending time with family and friends.
Shirley will be deeply missed by her daughter, Gloria (Arnold) Wittmann of Grandview; three grandchildren, Chris (Kim) Wittmann of Noblesville, IN, Sherri Wittmann of Muscatine and Eric Wittmann of Muscatine; five great-grandchildren, Allan, Brooke, Hannah, Vince and Kirra
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and four sisters.
