Woody was the son of Evander "E.V." McDaniel and Miranda Jane (McCarty) Harwell McDaniel.

Woody was first married to Viola Thetford on Mar 28, 1903, no information of where they were married. They had four daughters.

3--Ruby Lucille [1908-2002]
4--Marian [1910-1910]

After the death of Viola, Woody married Edna Jones in 1912. Together, they had six children.

3--Helen Cecelia [1917-1964]
4--Ernest Woody [1919-]
5--Guy Adelbert [1921-1995]
6--Billy "Bill" Edwin [1923-]

OBITUARY:

McDANIEL, 71, SERVICES HELD HERE TODAY

Services were held today for Woody McDaniel, 71, a retired farmer and a resident of this area since 1896. Mr. McDaniel died Tuesday after a prolonged illness. Rev. Frank Loveless, pastor of the First Baptist Church, of which he was a member, officiated at the services at 2:00 p.m. in the church.

Born near Eastland, Texas, August 10, 1883, he came here at the age of 13, and has made his home here since.

Survivors are his wife, Edna, Comanche; five sons, Isom and Bill of Comanche; Woodrow of Okeene; Ernest of Pasadena, Calif.; and Guy of Dallas, Texas; four daughters, Mrs. Etta Mehring of Oklahoma City; Mrs. Ruby Horton, Oklahoma City; Mrs. Lola Gray of Lake Charles, LA.; Helen Young, Holbrook, Ariz.; three brothers, Andrew of Amarillo, Texas; Isom of Comanche; Henry, Midw4est City; three sisters, Ada Hunton, Santa Fe, N.M.; Lola Thurman, Cisco, Texas; Mrs. Martha Walker, Muskogee.

Bearers were: Douglas Pierce, Irwin Fulsom, Gene Bowles, T.C. Lindsey, Jim Garrett and Jake Coconover.

Interment was in Comanche Cemetery under the direction of Boydstun Funeral Home.

Woody's daughter Ruby gave me the obituary and his picture. I took the picture of his headstone.
