She worked as a jewelry salesperson at Famous Barr; was a Founding Member of Gateway Carnival Glass Club, a volunteer at Mercy Hospital Gift Shop, President of Pink Ladies Altar Guild at Redeemer Luthern, a member of WELCA and owned "Presents from the Past" antique shop in DeSoto. She greatly enjoyed gardening, flowers, bird watching, and was a Neil Diamond fan.
