Mr Brinker was born October 16, 1873 at Chatham, Ont. and came to Sandusky 32 years ago. He opened a men's clothing store on South Elk street and continued in that business until early this spring when he disposed of the business but retained the cleaning and pressing department of the business. During his long business career the the city he had made many friends by his kind and cheery disposition.
He married Sarah McPherson of Carsonville, Jan 20, 1897 and to this union were four children born, two dying in infancy. He was a past grand of the Sandusky Odd Fellow Lodge 511 and was a member of the Custer Masonic Lodge 393, Council 151 and Charter 145. Masonic rites were conducted at the grave. He was also a member of the Forrester Lodge. His body lay in state at the church from 12 noon, until the hour of the service.
He is survived by his widow, Sarah Brinker; two sons, Aaron Brinker and Earl Brinker both of Sandusky; two brothers Peter Brinker of California and Charles Brinker of East Orange, N.J.; two sisters, Mrs Mae Steabler, Ann Arbor and Mrs Julia Landay of Kitchener, Ont.; four grandchildren; besides a host of friends who will mourn his departure.
