Phipps was originally buried in Block 88 Row 4 of Rosehill Cemetery in Cleburne, Johnson County, Texas. However his family has since reinterred him to Squaw Creek Cemetery so he could be buried where his father and other Camp relatives were buried.

Phipps was originally buried in Block 88 Row 4 of Rosehill Cemetery in Cleburne, Johnson County, Texas. However his family has since reinterred him to Squaw Creek Cemetery in Rainbow, Somervell County, Texas so he could be buried where his father and other Camp relatives were buried many years ago. The original headstone from Rosehill Cemetery was moved to Squaw Creek Cemetery.
